Introducing the FlowOne Team Leaders

The team of principals at FlowOne is in tune with both the worlds of lean process improvement and healthcare management. The team, lead by founder Aneesh Suneja, is a valuable resource for anyone wishing to bring Lean improvement to a patient care environment. In addition to the core team profiled below, our group of healthcare advisors includes physicians, nurses, managers, directors and executives who have implemented Lean in their organizations or practices. We’ll be happy to provide references or make a connection on your behalf.

Aneesh Suneja MBA, BS CHE, Lean-10 Yrs, Certified Six Sigma Black Belt
Aneesh Suneja is the president and founder of FlowOne Lean Consulting LLC. Aneesh is a chemical engineer, and holds an MBA from Marquette University. He earned a Six Sigma Blackbelt through the Whirlpool Corporation in 1998, and studied Lean Manufacturing at the University of Michigan’s Center for Professional Development.

He has successfully applied Lean in healthcare over the last 5 years. He has built his Lean expertise by successfully implementing Lean in boating, aircraft, chemical manufacturing, online auctions, and computer chip industries. He brings a profound understanding of Lean principles and a passionate focus on patient care to his work in the healthcare industry.

Karen Furmack MS,BS IE, Lean-10 Yrs, Certified Six Sigma Black Belt
Karen holds a B.S degree in Industrial Engineering from Kettering University and a M.S. in Engineering from the University of Wisconsin. She has also earned a Six Sigma Black Belt in Healthcare from Villanova University.
Karen has more than 10 years of experience working as a supplier to Toyota Corporation. Karen worked directly with Toyota engineers and consultants to design and implement lean assembly cells for Toyota electronics. Her extensive hands-on experience also includes lean equipment design, standardized work development, Kaizen events, 5S and design mock-ups. While at Delphi, Karen contributed to Delphi’s successful pursuit of the coveted Shingo Prize for Operational Excellence in 2006.

Mark Colclasure BS, Lean-5 Yrs
Mark has worked in the quality and continuous improvement arenas for the past 15 years. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Statistics, and in 2000 became a Certified Quality Engineer through the American Society for Quality. He studied Lean Manufacturing at the University of Michigan’s Center for Professional Development, and has spearheaded project teams and implementations in both manufacturing and healthcare for several years.

Carolyn Suneja MS, BA, Lean-10 Yrs
Carolyn utilizes best practices from the science of organizational development to develop training curriculum and classes for FlowOne’s Lean healthcare engagements.

A Master’s Degree graduate of Marquette University, Carolyn has spent more than 15 years in the field of organizational development. Her portfolio of expertise includes Lean Six Sigma eLearning, thousands of hours of classroom training and group facilitation, skill in implementing performance management systems, and extensive firsthand experience in helping organizations manage the change process.

Carolyn became interested in quality initiatives while working for PPG Industries, where she was deeply involved in ISO and QS9000. She received a certificate in Lean Manufacturing from the University of Michigan’s Center for Professional Development, and developed training and change management tools to help introduce Lean to PPG’s global organization Since leaving PPG, Carolyn has continued to help organizations involved in Lean transformations to nurture the people side of change.
